Process of a portrait

Different stages are necessary for the progression of each portrait. Centuries ago, it was common place for a model to sit with the painter for hours at a time for each portrait. However, I have modernized this ancient technique. The process begins with a meeting with the model through which I gain significant insight into the personality of the model. This is supplemented with a series of photographs taken of the model, of which both I and the model select the official photograph. In addition, I take into account the location where the portrait will be placed to ensure it complements its surroundings. These various steps ensure that every aspect of the model is captured accurately in each portrait.

I begin the elaborative process of each portrait in a centered space. The final product is a realization of the knowledge gained from interactions with the model and my own artistic imagination. I leave nothing off-limits, as total liberty of colors, contrasts, and techniques, ensures the final product to be of the highest quality.
